SNR Corp specializes in the manufacture of wound cores made up of Cold Rolled Grain Oriented Silicon Steel in varied shapes and sizes. The Indian, European, American & Continental sizes can be catered as well as any customer specified size. Cores can be made available in varied shapes as to customer specifications.

Grain Oriented Silicon Steel (GOSS / CRGO) is a 3% silicon iron, cold reduced to develop a high degree of grain orientation that gives numerous advantages when compared with laminated cores. These advantages are as follows:

Our Manufacturing Process

Cores are wound on fully or semi automatic machines at variable speeds which allow us to manufacture cores of round, oval & rectangular shapes. The cores are checked with calibrated Vernier calipers for assuring the conformity of the sizes. They are argon spot welded for better finishes and tight hold of the windings.

The cores are annealed for relieving stresses that have formed during winding. They are processed at very carefully controlled temperatures with a constant supply of nitrogen gas to prevent the cores from oxidizing. The cores are processed in either batch or conveyor furnaces.

Cores are packed in either wooden or corrugated boxes as per the specifications of the customer. These cores are packed with enough cushion to sustain transit pressure and handling for factory like delivery to customers.
